If you’re trying to complete a major project or keep on top of your daily tasks, motivation can be hard to come by – especially if you’re tired, stressed, and/or feeling uninspired. At those times, it can be tough to keep your motivation going, but these three ways will help you stay motivated no matter what.
1) Set Small, Achievable Goals
One of the best ways set small, achievable goals. For example, if you want to exercise more, start with walking for five minutes a day and gradually increase your time each week. Or if you're trying to eat healthier, aim for one meal that is healthy per day and work your way up from there. This will help you stay motivated because you'll be able to see the progress that you've made in a short amount of time.
2) Take Breaks and Reward Yourself
One way to stay motivated is by giving yourself little breaks. It's important not to be so hard on yourself that you're never satisfied with your progress. Reward yourself with a break, even if it's just for five minutes. Another way is by making goals that are achievable and relevant. Make sure the goals you set are not too difficult or long term, and have them written down somewhere visible so you can see them every day and stay motivated!
3) Find a Support System
Find a support system. Whether it's a friend, family member, or even your pet, find someone that you can rely on when you need help staying motivated. The support system doesn't have to be a person: some people find great motivation in reading motivational quotes or listening to music that motivates them. Whatever type of support system you need in order to stay motivated, make sure it's something that will work for you!
